PVD World Music Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by African Refugees and immigrants in Rhode Island. Our mission aims to promote, celebrate and enrich the musical traditions and arts of African refugees and immigrants in Rhode Island for present and future generations. Take, for instance, the Inanga, once the national instrument of Burundi. Today, its mastery is known to only a select few.  PVD World Music has been tirelessly working to raise awareness across Rhode Island, organizing over 50 concerts per and four African Film and Art Festivals as of 2023.

Our commitment to preserving traditional African music and arts, exemplified by our Inanga Heritage, is unwavering.  To ensure the continuity of our efforts, we rely on your support.
