About the event

We’re thrilled to announce the first artist for the Air Tanganyika Music Festival 2025: Etuk Ubong from Nigeria!

Join us on May 17, 2025 for an ecclectic night of music as diverse as the people of the world in Providence, RI. Tickets are on sale now—mark your calendars! More details coming soon.

As always, 100% of festival proceeds go directly to supporting artists and funding our annual traditional music festival in Kayanza, Burundi. Last year, we raised $1,000 to host the first-ever cultural music festival in Kayanza, which brought together over 300 attendees and 56 musicians, including youth groups, who were compensated to keep their traditions alive.

This year, we have begun building the Air Tanganyika Library for African Music and Art in

Burundi, a space to repatriate and preserve the our growing African Music Archives of African Music and our expansive African art collection.
